Tata Hitachi Opens New Warehouse at Kharagpur Plant

Tata Hitachi Construction Machinery Company has inaugurated a new warehouse at its Kharagpur manufacturing facility in West Bengal to strengthen its supply chain and improve customer support across India.

The facility was inaugurated by Sandeep Singh, Managing Director, Tata Hitachi, in the presence of Hiroshi Hosokawa, President – Spare Parts & Service Business Unit and Executive Officer, along with the company’s senior leadership and employees.

The new warehouse is designed to enhance warehousing and inventory management capabilities, enabling more efficient handling and availability of critical spare parts and components. Tata Hitachi expects the facility to streamline inventory movement, improve supply chain efficiency and help minimise equipment downtime for customers.

Hosokawa highlighted the importance of a strong aftermarket ecosystem in supporting customers throughout the lifecycle of construction equipment. The facility is expected to further strengthen Tata Hitachi’s parts and service network and support higher machine uptime and customer productivity.

Singh said ensuring timely availability of parts and service support remains central to the company’s customer strategy. He added that the Kharagpur warehouse would enhance Tata Hitachi’s ability to serve customers with greater speed, efficiency and reliability.

The expansion further strengthens Tata Hitachi’s focus on building a more agile supply chain while supporting sustained customer service and business growth.
