The Agency for New and Renewable Energy Research and Technology (ANERT) has planned a series of tenders to install rooftop solar panels on 300 government buildings as part of the Thiruvananthapuram Corporation. These initiatives aim to equip various government departments, including education, all government schools, headquarters, and hospitals, with rooftop solar systems ranging from 2 kW to 2 MW. Although the civic authority takes pleasure in putting housing ideas into action, it was forced to withdraw the contract for the Poonkulam housing project 15 years after the scheme's inception. The local authority has chosen to re-tender the project after terminating Nirmithi Kendra's contract at its own risk and expense. The corporation made the decision to onboard College of Engineering, Thiruvananthapuram to conduct a stability audit on the Poonkulam construction project that had not moved forward since 2010.

Tax Adalat to address property tax issues from 22 November
The tax adalat in Thiruvananthapuram city will soon address the issues of the property tax dues and will begin on 22 November 2021.
Thiruvananthapuram Corporation will organise tax adalat to address the issues of property tax payment in the city following allegations of fund fraud in zonal offices. Mayor Arya Rajendran said that the 4.5 lakh tax assessments would be completed in a month, after which the adalat would be held. The city corporation has planned to provide a platform to the residents to raise complaints online if they find irregularities in tax dues.
