28th e-Governance Conference to Be Held in Visakhapatnam

The 28th National Conference on e-Governance (NCeG) will be held on 9–10 June 2025 at Novotel, Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. The event is jointly organized by the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG) and the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), in collaboration with the Government of Andhra Pradesh.

The theme of the two-day conference is “Viksit Bharat: Civil Service and Digital Transformation.” The event aims to explore strategies for delivering efficient, citizen-centric public services aligned with the government’s goal of “Minimum Government, Maximum Governance.”

The conference will feature:
  • 6 plenary sessions
  • 6 breakout sessions
  • Discussions involving policymakers, technologists, industry leaders, and academicians on emerging trends, policy implementation, and digital innovations in governance
The conference will be inaugurated by the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Shri N. Chandrababu Naidu, who will also chair a plenary session on “Vizag as an IT Hub.”
Keynote addresses will be delivered by:

  • Shri Pawan Kalyan, Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh
  • Shri N. Lokesh, Minister for IT & Human Resources, Andhra Pradesh
Dr. Jitendra Singh, Union Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievances, and Pensions, will present the National e-Governance Awards (NAeG) 2025 during the conference.

DARPG has launched a dedicated portal nceg.gov.in for registration of:
  • Central and State Government officials
  • Industry representatives
  • Start-ups and exhibitors
  • Academia and think tanks
  • Award recipients, speakers, and panellists

In preparation, Shri V. Srinivas, Secretary, DARPG, chaired a virtual briefing on 30 April 2025 to outline the conference schedule and objectives. The meeting was attended by senior officials from the Government of India, Government of Andhra Pradesh, NASSCOM, and IIM Visakhapatnam, among others. The Andhra Pradesh government presented a status report on ongoing preparations.

NCeG 2025 aims to foster collaboration and knowledge exchange among key stakeholders in India’s digital transformation journey, ensuring public service delivery is more efficient, inclusive, and future-ready.
