EPACK Durable, Bumjin Join Hands for Smart Audio Manufacturing

EPACK Durable, a leading Indian manufacturer of consumer durables, has entered into a strategic partnership with South Korea-based Bumjin Electronics Co. (Bumjin), a global provider of audio solutions. The agreement, signed on 24th July 2025, marks Bumjin’s entry into the Indian market and advances EPACK Durable’s vision to expand across high-growth consumer electronics categories.

The alliance will focus on the manufacturing of soundbars, TV speakers, and Bluetooth-enabled audio products. It will combine EPACK Durable’s manufacturing scale, R&D capabilities and distribution network with Bumjin’s expertise in advanced audio design and technology, targeting India’s rapidly growing smart device ecosystem.

The manufacturing of these audio products is scheduled to commence by Q3 FY 2026. The joint venture aims to capture 30  per cent market share in its segment, while enabling EPACK Durable to diversify beyond air conditioners and build a comprehensive home appliance portfolio.

The collaboration will also support transfer of global technology and best practices, fostering innovation and locally relevant product development. It is expected to reduce India’s current 25  per cent import dependency in the speaker systems market.

“This partnership marks an important milestone in EPACK Durable’s journey to expand into next-generation consumer electronics. By combining our large-scale manufacturing and distribution strengths with Bumjin’s deep expertise in speaker technology, we aim to deliver high-quality, locally manufactured products that are aligned with evolving consumer needs and global standards. Beyond expanding our product portfolio, this partnership allows us to strengthen our position as an end-to-end electronics manufacturing partner, while advancing India’s capabilities in high-value electronics production,” said Ajay DD Singhania, MD & CEO, EPACK Durable Limited.

Bajrang Bothra, Chairman, EPACK Durable, added, “This collaboration reflects our continued focus on building future-ready, scalable businesses in emerging product categories. The strong traction we are already witnessing from OEMs highlights the market potential in the audio segment. With a clear go-to-market plan, robust operational groundwork and a partner like Bumjin bringing proven technical capabilities, we are confident of performing at speed and scale to meet growing demand both within India and globally.”

The partnership is also expected to open export opportunities and strengthen India’s domestic manufacturing ecosystem in high-value consumer electronics.
