The foundation stone laying ceremony for this milestone project was held on June 13, 2024, with Dr Thomas Strong Moss, Senior Vice President of Innovation, Gates Corporation and Rajesh C Bhandari, Senior Managing Director, Gates India, leading the event.

This initiative marks a major step for Gates in India, highlighting the company's commitment to the region as a center for talent and R&D excellence. By setting up this cutting-edge facility, Gates aims to enhance its capabilities in innovation to deliver advanced solutions to its global customer base.

Dr Moss expressed his enthusiasm for the project, stating, "We are excited to establish the Gates Global Technical Center in Lalru, Punjab.
