Honeywell Automation will deliver Smart factory project to DFPCL

On June 24, Honeywell Automation India Limited announced that Deepak Fertilizers and Petrochemicals Corporation Limited (DFPCL) selected Honeywell technology to convert their sprawling facility in Taloja, Maharashtra, into a Smart Factory. DFPCL is among India’s leading producers of industrial chemicals and fertilizers and has manufacturing facilities in Srikakulam (Andhra Pradesh), Panipat (Haryana), and Dahej (Gujarat), besides Taloja.

Honeywell technologies support remote operations for Honeywell and third-party operational technology (OT) systems at the facility, deliver industrial cybersecurity solutions, and offer a multi-year enabled service maintenance program with the Honeywell Forge health dashboard. These solutions help DFPCL improve efficiency and productivity of their operations and maintenance, while being protected by the highest level of cybersecurity.

Honeywell’s suite of remote solutions facilitates secure access pathways to industrial control systems (ICS) and OT environments. These solutions allow controlled access to OT assets from any location ensuring business continuity in normal and emergency situations.

Honeywell also provided DFPCL with Managed Security Services, which will reduce the risk and impact of cyber-related disruptions and enable safer management of key elements of their ICS and OT.

Honeywell worked closely with DFPCL to develop a comprehensive maintenance program. Honeywell Enabled Services, powered by Honeywell Forge, will allow DFPCL to drive maintenance with a connected, predictive solution that combines advanced software and Honeywell’s domain knowledge on ICS. The program will deliver actionable insights on how to maintain system health, prioritize resources and amplify performance.

DFPCL selected Honeywell for their strong maintenance record, technology offering and distinctiveness in the Smart Factories space.

“It’s our priority to continue offering customised solutions to fulfil our customers’ needs. We are committed to understanding our customers’ pain points in relation to preventive maintenance and the health of the control system. Currently, our focus is on enabling remote operations at DFPCL’s Taloja facility and converting it into a Smart Factory,” said Ashish Gaikwad, Managing Director, Honeywell Automation India Limited.

“The win has given us a strong reference and platform to showcase the value of our digital technologies, solve challenges that our customers face in real-time, and ensure consistent levels of high performance for their day-to-day operations,” he added.

Honeywell’s security solutions deliver a high level of safety, reliability, efficiency, and profitability. This is made possible through meticulous strategic solutions designed to address customer concerns and understanding customers' process and maintenance requirements. These proven industry solutions are analogous to the company’s vision of helping customers improve their cybersecurity profiles.
