Mahindra & Mahindra records 5% wholesale order decline in Oct

Mahindra & Mahindra Limited has reported a 5% decline in total wholesales at 41,908 units in October. Last year in October, the company dispatched 44,359 units.

Earlier this year, in October, the sales of passenger vehicles in the domestic market stood at 20,130 units, a growth of 8% from 18,622 units a year ago.

The domestic, commercial vehicles sales declined to 18,604 units from 23,716 units in October 2020.

The exports rose to 3,174 units in October, growth up to 57% from 2,021 units last year in October.

CEO of Mahindra & Mahindra Automotive Division, Veejay Nakra, said that the vehicular demand across the company's portfolio remains robust. The company has received positive responses from the customers of XUV700, and as per the commitment, the company has commenced deliveries of petrol variants to the customers, he said.

He said that the supply chain issues in semiconductors related products continue to be dynamic as it focuses on managing the situation on a short-term basis.
