Bengal hands over 1,250 acre land for industrial use

The Government of West Bengal has handed over allotment letter and permissive possession certificates for land admeasuring 1,250 acre to 13 investors. The land was acquired by invoking the Land Acquisition Act, Shyam Steel Metallics and Jai Balaji, accounted for 75 per cent of the total land alloted. Tractors India, Megatherm Transmission and Distribution were given 104 and 10 acre respectively in Vidyasagar Industrial Park in Kharagpur.

In Sahachowk Industrial Area in Kharagpur, Mittal Ferrocast and Radix Electrocast were given 11.92 acre and 4 acre,
respectively. Five other companies were given land in Rishi Bankim Shipaudyan in Naihati (North 24 Parganas) and Salt Lake.
