JSW hopes to operationalise new plant

JSW Steel is expected to begin production at its upcoming 2.3 mn tonne plant in Bellary, Karnataka from December 2013. The company is setting up the plant specifically for the auto-industry and will produce high-grade automotive steel. It has already invested about $1 bn on the 2.3 mn steel plant and hopes to earn about $2 bn of revenue once it attains full capacity.
