Adani to create aero cities along its airports

Adani Group reportedly intends to build real estate projects alongside its airports in the country in addition to its aeronautical and non-aeronautical (terminal) operations.

Adani Airports wants to develop around 70 million square feet on over 500 acres of land across all of its airports as part of its city-side projects portfolio, according to the reports from the company. These "aero cities" will consist of a combination of hotels, conference centres, retail, entertainment, and healthcare facilities, logistics, commercial offices, and other related real estate categories.

According to the sources, the business is in early negotiations with hospitality chains such as Marriott International, InterContinental Properties Group (IHG), and Hilton about establishing hotels under this model.
