Deputy CM inaugurates new approach road to Chandi Mata Temple

In a significant initiative to enhance infrastructure and facilitate access to religious sites, Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary inaugurated the newly constructed approach road to Chandi Mata Temple in Nowshera. This road project, completed at an estimated cost of ?83.90 lakh, aims to ease the journey for devotees visiting the temple.

During the inauguration ceremony, Choudhary expressed his satisfaction with the timely completion of the project, emphasizing the importance of well-developed infrastructure for promoting religious and cultural tourism. “This approach road will make it more convenient for pilgrims to visit the revered Chandi Mata Temple, which holds immense religious significance for the people of this region. We are committed to ensuring inclusive infrastructural development, particularly in rural and religiously important areas,” he stated.

The Deputy CM noted that such road developments will not only improve connectivity but also enhance tourism and bolster the local economy. “By improving access to our heritage and religious sites, we can attract more visitors, which in turn benefits local businesses and communities,” he added.

Choudhary highlighted that the newly inaugurated road is expected to accommodate a steady flow of pilgrims, especially during festival seasons when footfall at the temple significantly increases.

Following the inauguration, several delegations from various areas met with the Deputy Chief Minister to present their grievances, including issues related to road connectivity, employment, and local development. Choudhary assured the attendees that their concerns would be addressed promptly, stating, “We are committed to the welfare of the people. Each grievance will be thoroughly examined, and steps will be taken for their redressal.” He reiterated the government's focus on equitable development across all sectors, ensuring no region is left behind.
