JK LG optimist about road project sanction connecting Amarnath Temple

Manoj Sinha, the lieutenant governor of Jammu and Kashmir, expressed optimism that the National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation (NHIDCL) will sanction a road project connecting the Amarnath cave temple this year. The cave shrine in the south Kashmir Himalayas would be accessible to pilgrims from all across the nation and Jammu and Kashmir after the road is finished, according to Sinha.

“Last year, there was a regrettable occurrence that happened during the yatra. I personally travelled the yatra route. I've tried and am certain that the route to Amarnath can be built in the same manner as the road built for the Char Daam Yatra” said Sinha. During Maha Shivratri fair at Jagti migrant camp, the lieutenant governor spoke with the crowd. He stated that the route will begin in Pahalgam and proceed to Baltal through Panjtarni and Sangam Top. “The NHIDCL has released its initial report. I have assurance that the road project will be approved this year” he added.

The LG predicted that the project would be finished in four to five years. NHIDCL has been given the job of building the “Sheshnag Tunnel” on the Khanabal-Baltal stretch of NH-501 by the Ministry of Road, Transport, and Highways.
