The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has issued Letters of Award for the construction of the six-lane access-controlled Capital Region Ring Road (Bhubaneswar Bypass) project in Odisha. The 111 km greenfield corridor from Rameshwar to Tangi will be developed in three packages under the Hybrid Annuity Model (HAM) and is expected to be completed in about 30 months.
Package I has been awarded to Patel Infrastructure Limited for the 40 km stretch from Rameshwar to Bilipada. The scope includes service roads, two interchanges, one railway overbridge, 10 minor bridges, 142 culverts, one wayside amenity and multiple underpasses.
Package II has been awarded to VRC Constructions (India) Limited for the 30 km section from Bilipada to Gobindpur. The package includes service roads, three interchanges, 11 minor bridges, 90 culverts, one wayside amenity and several underpasses.
Package III has been awarded to HG Infra Engineering Limited for the 40 km stretch from Gobindpur to Tangi near Bandola Toll Plaza, including service roads, one interchange, 23 minor bridges, 69 culverts and wayside amenities.
Designed for a speed of 100 kmph, the project aims to decongest Bhubaneswar, Cuttack and Khordha while improving regional connectivity, reducing logistics costs and supporting economic growth.
