Western Railway looks to fund corridor project

Western Railway is working on a funding model for the elevated Churchgate-Virar corridor project estimated at Rs 15,000 crore.In the project, the track between Churchgate and Mahalaxmi will run underground and will be elevated up to Santacruz. Between Vile Parle and Andheri, the track will run alongside the existing track since this falls in the funnel area of aircrafts.
