Concord Secures Rs 194.5 Million Kavach 4.0 Order

Concord Control Systems rose 2.66 per cent to Rs 2,679.90 after its associate arm, Progota India Private Limited, received its first order for the Kavach 4.0 system, valued at Rs 194.5 million, from South Central Railway, Secunderabad.
The contract covers the design, development, supply, installation, trial, and commissioning of onboard Kavach equipment for locomotives, as well as trackside Kavach equipment. The project is expected to be completed within 18 months, paving the way for large-scale implementation of advanced railway safety solutions. Upon completion, Concord will be among the few companies able to supply a fully developed Kavach system to Indian Railways.
Concord’s next-generation Kavach system has successfully progressed through Indian Railways’ stringent approval process, including product approval and initial SiL4 third-party certification. Approximately 70 per cent of the rigorous SiL4 certification process has been completed, with the remaining stages scheduled alongside upcoming trials.
Nitin Jain, Joint Managing Director of Concord Control Systems, said: “This field order validates our engineering capabilities and is a stepping stone for scaling Kavach deployment across the Indian Railways network. Our fully in-house system will set new benchmarks in safety, reliability, and self-reliance in railway technology.”
