Hubballi-Bengaluru railway line's peak speed will be 130 kmph.

The South-Western Railway (SWR) has proposed to the Railway Board to facilitate the increase of the maximum permissible speed of trains (speed potential of tracks) on this line from the existing 110 km per hour at feasible sections to 130 km per hour, As the section between Hubballi and Dharwad has already been doubled and electrified, it is anticipated that the Vande Bharat Express train between Dharwad and Bengaluru will follow the completion of this line's doubling and electrification.

Sanjeev Kishore, General Manager, SWR claims that Vande Bharat Express can be extended to Belagavi as well because the electrification and doubling of the stretch up to Belagavi will also be finished in a few more months. It is anticipated that the ongoing endeavor to lay the brand-new railway line connecting Davangere and Tamakuru will be completed within three years. He added that this would cut the distance between Hubballi and Bengaluru by 65 km and shorten the travel time by more than an hour.

Additionally, he stated that the Dharwad-Belagavi direct line project is being prioritised, and a tender would be issued once the state government had completed the land acquisition process. "For the budget for 2023 and 2024, we have also proposed new road-over-bridges, automatic signalling in crowded corridors, and additional looplines and platforms in the SWR." Sanjeev Kishore stated that additional facilities for maintenance would also be constructed.

Creativity is for Humans, Productivity is for Robots!

On most construction sites, the rhythm of progress is measured by the clang of steel, the hum of machinery and the sweat of thousands. But increasingly, new sounds are entering the mix: the quiet efficiency of algorithms, the hum of drones overhead, and the precision of robotic arms at work. Behind the concrete and cables, an invisible force is taking hold: data. It is turning blueprints into living simulations, managing fleets of machines, and helping engineers make decisions before a single brick is laid. This is not the construction of tomorrow; it is the architecture of today – built on ..
