IR completes 100% electrification of rail network in Haryana

Indian Railways has reached a critical milestone by fully electrifying its network in the state of Haryana. The 1,701 route kilometres of Haryana's existing broad-gauge network are now entirely electrified, which results in savings due to lower line haul costs (about 2.5 times lower), heavier haulage capacity, increased sectional capacity, lower operating & maintenance costs of electric locos, and a more environmentally friendly and energy-efficient mode of transportation with less reliance on imported crude oil and foreign exchange savings. In accordance with the Railways' aim of having a 100% electrified network, additional Broad Gauge lines will also be approved.

Northern, North Central & North Western Railway has jurisdiction over the territory of Haryana State. Ambala, Panipat, Gurgaon, Kurukshetra, Hisar Junction, Rewari Junction, Rohtak Junction, and Bhiwani are a few of the main railway stations in Haryana.

The Kalka Shatabdi Express, Himalayan Queen, Kalka Mail, Paschim Express, Golden Temple Mail, and Kalinga Utkal Express are just a few of the illustrious trains that go through the state of Haryana. These trains offer simple connectivity to different regions of the state and other significant Indian cities.
