Kochi Metro to prepare plan for Kozhikode, TVM projects

Kochi Metro Rail (KMRL) will prepare a comprehensive transport project for the envisioned metro projects in Thiruvananthapuram and Kozhikode. The Urban Mass Transit Company (UMTC) has been tasked with preparing the project, which includes assessing suitable metro systems for these cities.

A detailed project report will be prepared upon the submission of a comprehensive transport plan by March. Meanwhile, authorities will begin the preparatory works for metro projects, including issuing a tender for flyover construction at Sreekaryam.

KMRL Managing Director Loknath Behra has sought the support of district administration and mayors of both cities to complete the project.
