New Managing Director for NCRTC

The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has appointed Mr. Vinay Kumar Singh as its new Managing Director. Singh, a 1987 batch officer of the Indian Railway Service of Engineers (IRSE), brings over three decades of experience in railway infrastructure and urban transport projects. His extensive career includes significant contributions to various railway projects and metro rail systems in India.

Singh has previously held several key positions, including the role of Chief Project Manager in Mumbai Railway Vikas Corporation, where he was instrumental in implementing the Mumbai Urban Transport Project. He also served as the Director of the Indian Railways Institute of Civil Engineering, Pune. His expertise in managing large-scale projects and his leadership skills are expected to drive the NCRTC's ambitious Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) projects forward.

The NCRTC is tasked with developing a high-speed regional rail network to connect Delhi with its neighboring cities, enhancing connectivity and reducing travel time. The RRTS is a flagship project aimed at decongesting the National Capital Region (NCR) and promoting sustainable urban development. Singh's appointment comes at a crucial time as the NCRTC is in the midst of executing the first phase of the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut RRTS corridor, scheduled to be operational by 2025.

Singh's vision includes leveraging advanced technology and innovative practices to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining high standards of safety and quality. His leadership is anticipated to steer the NCRTC towards achieving its goals efficiently.
