The RRTS is a flagship project aimed at decongesting the National Capital Region (NCR) and promoting sustainable urban development. Singh's appointment comes at a crucial time as the NCRTC is in the midst of executing the first phase of the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut RRTS corridor, scheduled to be operational by 2025.

The NCRTC Board expressed confidence in Singh's ability to lead the organization and deliver on the RRTS projects, which are expected to transform regional connectivity and contribute significantly to the socio-economic development of the NCR.

With Singh at the helm, the NCRTC aims to accelerate project timelines, optimize resources, and foster a culture of excellence and innovation. His appointment is seen as a strategic move to enhance the corporation's capability in managing complex infrastructure projects and achieving its mission of providing fast, reliable, and sustainable transit solutions.
