Century Plywood sets up Century Ports as its subsidiary

Century Plywoods (India) incorporated a wholly-owned subsidiary, Century Ports, in Kolkata on 20 April 2022.

Its subsidiary Century Ports will carry out the project of rejuvenating Khidderpore Docks (KPD-I West), West Bengal, through a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) mode on a design, build, finance, operate and transfer (DBFOT) basis at Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port in Kolkata, West Bengal.

The company's consolidated net profit increased by 42.89% to Rs 94.09 crore on a 29.49% surge in net sales to Rs 854.79 crore in the third quarter (Q3) of December 2021 over Q3 December 2020.

Century Plyboards (India) is a producer of plywood, laminate sheets, marine wood, fiberboard, Medium Density Fiberboard (MDF) boards, sunmica and veneer wood products.
