Garden Reach Bags Rs 1.23 Billion Mauritius Coast Guard Contract

Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Ltd. has secured a Rs 1.23 billion contract from the Mauritius Coast Guard, with an additional 15% provision for extra work and spares. The project involves normal refit work, including both services and mandatory spares, while any additional spares will be treated as growth of work.

This follows Garden Reach’s earlier construction and supply of the MCGS Barracuda warship to Mauritius in 2014. The current order, awarded as a grant by the ministry to the Mauritius government, is set to be executed within 10 months from the ship's availability for refit.
