Maersk sees congestion in Asian ports

The Danish shipping company Maersk stated in a statement that it is experiencing severe terminal congestion in ports in Asia and the Mediterranean, which is seriously delaying its vessel timetable. The second-largest container shipping firm in the world will forgo two westbound sailings from China and South Korea that were scheduled to depart in early July due to the congestion, the business stated. Maersk's warning coincides with a rise in expenses and cascading delays in global supply chains brought on by Houthi rebel strikes on commercial boats close to the Suez Canal in Yemen.
