Avantel Secures Rs 33.6 Million DRDO SATCOM Order

Avantel Ltd has been awarded a new order worth Rs 33.6 million (inclusive of taxes) by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) for the development, porting, and testing of SATCOM Waveform for Software Defined Radio (SDR) systems. The purchase order, dated 25 August 2025, was disclosed through a regulatory filing in compliance with SEBI’s Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements (Regulation 30).
The project scope includes field trials of the ported waveform using HUB systems, and is categorised under software services. The contract has been placed by a domestic entity and is scheduled for completion by 27 April 2026.
Avantel has clarified that the order does not involve related-party transactions, and that neither the promoter group nor group companies have any financial interest in the awarding organisation.
This latest order further cements Avantel’s growing role in India’s strategic defence communications landscape, particularly in the areas of satellite communications and SDR-based waveform technologies.
