Once the inspection is completed the project will proceed to preparation of a detailed project report that will set out technical specifications, infrastructure requirements and timelines. The report is expected to be prepared within two to three months and will guide final planning and execution. Budgetary requirements and timelines will be outlined in the report with input from all stakeholders. Stakeholders will use the assessment to determine any additional surveys or approvals required for dual use operations.

The Adilabad airport initiative has been under consideration for a long time as part of efforts to strengthen aviation infrastructure in regions beyond Hyderabad. The current push places emphasis on improving regional air connectivity while also supporting defence training requirements through shared infrastructure.
