Beautification of Telangana's Karimnagar planned

BC Welfare and Civil Supplies Minister Gangula Kamalakar told the media that Karimnagar would be developed into a beautiful city that its residents would be proud of.

At the Collectorate conference hall here, Karimnagar Mayor Y Sunil Rao and the Minister held a review meeting with officials to discuss the progress of the smart city project in Karimnagar. Rao informed the officials to keep working on the development projects without causing any inconvenience to the residents.

Rao said the city's development had been hampered by the model code of conduct, which had been imposed due to the Huzurabad by-poll and MLC elections, and urged officials to resume road expansion and new road construction with the people's cooperation.

Since there is no shortage of funds for smart city projects, the Minister instructed municipal and R and B engineers to complete work as quickly as possible.

The Minister warned contractors that digging for cable work should not be done on newly laid roads and warned them with serious consequences if they dug roads indiscriminately and without permission from R and B officials and municipal officials.

It is necessary to regularly sweep city roads with sweeping machines to ensure that they are clean.

According to Rao, officials should take steps to relocate roadside vegetable and fruit vendors to Rythu Bazars.

Since the city's population was growing each year, the Minister directed officials to build more vegetable markets. Rao advised authorities to modernise Kashmirgadda Rythu Bazar and allocate vegetable vendor sheds built behind the district headquarters bus stand.

The Shadikhana, R & B guest house, Kalabharathi auditorium, Ambedkar Bhavan, MLA camp office, and double bedroom houses built with DMFT funds should be finished as soon as possible.

According to the Minister, vegetable markets should be developed in two locations: the dairy farm and the RTC workshop. Mutton and chicken markets would be modernised.

Both the walking and cycling paths proposed for a two km distance from the Lake police station should be completed as soon as possible. The Minister praised the district administration for achieving first place in the state in administering the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine to 100% of the population and the second dose to 86% of the population. Following the spread of Omicron, people should be vigilant, follow Covid-19 guidelines, wear face masks, and keep a safe distance.
