GNIDA launches OneMap app for residents in Greater Noida

Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) has launched its OneMap service as a mobile application for strengthening its participation with residents.

In a race to make Greater Noida the first smart city in the national capital region, GNIDA has taken this digital step.

GNIDA has created an open-source geographical information system (GIS) of the entire town with the help of the National Informatics Centre. GNIDA through the GIS map-based interface not only provides the details of existing allottees, list of vacant plots, directions, measurement of plots, list of landmarks but also gives details of its 13 urban services. A dashboard covering details of all allottees has been provided on the app.

The status of vehicles deployed for cleaning and sweeping the roads, the status of solid waste management will be regularly shared with residents on the app. The information also includes macro and micro details about the piped gas network, drainage, water pipeline, electricity lines, sewerage lines, and other utilities.

The Chief Executive Officer of the authority, Narendra Bhooshan, told the media that the aim is to provide information about other services on a real-time basis. The app is only available on the Google PlayStore and is yet to be available for iOS users.
