Eicher proudly delivers EV Buses to Indian Army

Eicher Trucks and Buses, a division of VE Commercial Vehicles (VECV) Limited, is proud to deliver six Eicher Skyline PRO E 9M Staff AC Electric Buses to the Indian Army. These deliveries support the Indian Army's transformative initiative to deploy environment friendly and sustainable transportation for staff and troop movement.

The formal handover ceremony took place at the prestigious Manekshaw Centre in Dhaulakuan, New Delhi, in the distinguished presence of Lieutenant General MV Suchindra Kumar, PVSM, AVSM, YSM** VSM Vice Chief of the Indian Army and other senior officers from Indian Army.

Vinod Aggarwal, Managing Director and CEO of VECV expressed his gratitude, stating, "We are honored to collaborate with the Indian Army by providing sustainable and eco-friendly transportation. Standing as a proud example of Make in India initiative, Eicher Skyline PRO E 9M Staff AC Electric Buses have been designed and built on Eicher's established electric vehicle technology. The fully air-conditioned bus comes with all air suspension providing better comfort, safety features and enhances passenger and driver experience.

To ensure best-in-class aftermarket experience, all Eicher vehicles are connected through the innovative Uptime Centre, utilizing AI/ML capabilities for remote diagnostics and predictive diagnostics. Integrated with India's leading 'My Eicher' fleet management platform, these vehicles provide valuable real time performance insights. Eicher's extensive network across the country comprises 850+ touchpoints, including 425+ authorized service centers and 8000+ retail centers, complemented by 'Eicher Site Support' at 240+ locations, offering seamless assistance. Committed to comprehensive service support, Eicher provides driver and technician training, ensures prompt parts delivery, and facilitates convenient annual maintenance contracts.
