Jupiter Opens First EV Showroom in Hyderabad

Jupiter Electric Mobility Pvt Ltd (JEM), the electric commercial vehicle arm of Jupiter Wagons Ltd, has inaugurated its first showroom in New Bowenpally, Secunderabad, Hyderabad. The launch also marks the introduction of its 1.05-tonne four-wheeler electric light commercial vehicle (eLCV), JEM TEZ, to Telangana’s growing logistics and intra-city freight market. This expansion underscores JEM’s commitment to delivering purpose-built sustainable mobility solutions and accelerating the electrification of India’s logistics sector.

The new showroom, operated by Arven Motors Pvt Ltd, offers customers a comprehensive buying experience. Visitors can explore the JEM TEZ, interact with trained specialists, and schedule test drives to assess performance under real-world conditions. Personalised sales consultation further ensures a smooth purchase journey.

JEM TEZ is engineered for the evolving needs of urban logistics, offering a certified range of over 300 km, a true range exceeding 190 km, 80kW peak motor power, 23 per cent gradeability, and a payload capacity of 1.05 tonnes. With low operating costs, robust performance, and enhanced reliability, the vehicle is tailored for last-mile delivery, FMCG distribution, and intra-city freight movement.

Hyderabad was chosen strategically, given its role as a logistics hub supported by central location, warehousing infrastructure, e-commerce growth, and state EV adoption policies. The showroom was inaugurated by Vivek Lohia, Managing Director of Jupiter Group, along with G V Suresh Babu, Founder of Arven Motors, and JEM’s leadership team.

Speaking on the launch, Lohia said: “Hyderabad is an ideal market for our next phase of growth, with its strong economy, thriving logistics sector, and supportive state policies. JEM TEZ offers fleet owners and individual buyers a compelling business proposition through its range, payload, cost efficiency, and fast-charging capabilities.”

As part of its long-term strategy, JEM is investing in an integrated EV value chain with partners such as Porter, Pulse Energy, Battwheel, Automovill, and Tapfin. This ecosystem supports charging networks, financing, and after-sales services. The JEM Udaan programme further assures business support for drivers and owners.

With Hyderabad as a launchpad, JEM is strengthening its service network and preparing for deeper penetration across key markets including Ahmedabad, Chennai, Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Pune, and Trivandrum.
