Odisha CM launches 18 projects on OCCL's 60th foundation day

Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik has launched 18 projects worth Rs 450 crore at the 60th foundation day celebration of the Odisha Construction Corporation Limited (OCCL).

OOCL was formed by the former CM and the father of the current CM, Biju Patnaik, like other public sector undertakings (PSUs).

It has now become a huge organisation which is specialised in planning, designing, monitoring and constructing civil, mechanical and hydraulic projects.

CM Patnaik said that with the adoption of the 5T initiative, including teamwork, technology, transparency, transformation and time limit, OCCL will bring more efficiency and professionalism in transforming Odisha.

Officials said that for the past 60 years, OCCL had undertaken several ventures, including hydroelectric, irrigation, thermal power, industrial, harbour, railway and institutional projects.

CM added that such projects had generated vast employment opportunities over the past years and transformed the social, economic and industrial structure of Odisha.
