Ritco Logistics Partners with CONCOR for Large-Scale Wheat Transport

Ritco Logistics (NSE, BSE: RITCO), one of India’s leading integrated logistics providers, has partnered with the Container Corporation of India (CONCOR) to facilitate large-scale, full-rake wheat movements. The collaboration aims to optimise the food supply chain by connecting surplus wheat production hubs in North India with high-demand markets in the East and South.
Utilising CONCOR’s extensive rail network, the initiative deploys full rakes comprising 80 specialised container wagons to transport wheat efficiently from states like Punjab, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh. Each full rake can carry approximately 2500–2800 metric tonnes of wheat, offering a scale that road transport cannot match cost-effectively. This initiative is set to minimise transit times and reduce risks of supply disruptions, ensuring a continuous supply of wheat to support India’s public distribution systems and milling operations.
Hariom Sharma, Head of Growth & Excellence at Ritco Logistics, stated, “Our collaboration with CONCOR represents a significant milestone in our mission to provide efficient, large-scale logistics solutions. Food connects every part of the country, and by using full-rake rail movements, we are ensuring that essential commodities like wheat reach deficit regions with precision and reliability. This initiative not only enhances our operational footprint but also reinforces our commitment to building a more resilient and sustainable supply chain for India.”"
