BHEL to set up thermal power plant

BHEL is planning to set up a 1,600 MW supercritical thermal power plant in Madhya Pradesh, in joint venture with Madhya Pradesh Power Generating Company Ltd. The first unit of the coal-based power plant would come up within 48 months of the order being placed on BHEL while the second unit would be operational within 54 months.
