GMR plant commences operation

GMR Vemagiri Power Generation (GVPGL) at Vemagiri has successfully commenced its operation under the Scheme for Utilisation of Stranded Gas-based power plants. The capacity of the plant is 370 MW and it operates at 95 per cent PLF at present, thereby generating 350 MW and supplying power to AP Transco.The scheme envisages government subsidies from the Power System Development Fund (PSDF) through a transparent ebid process.
