Anupam Rasayan to Develop Advanced Solvent for EV Batteries

Anupam Rasayan India Ltd. has signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) with Elementium Materials Inc., a US-based battery electrolyte company, for the development and supply of an advanced electrolyte solvent critical for electric vehicle (EV) batteries. The supply is expected to begin by the end of FY26, with the companies negotiating a five-year supply agreement valued between $350–450 million upon successful product development.

Anupam Rasayan will initially supply the product through its existing manufacturing facilities and may establish a new plant to meet full-scale production demands. Anupam Rasayan, a leading specialty chemicals manufacturer in India, operates six facilities in Gujarat, catering to 71 domestic and international customers, including 31 multinational companies.
