Carrier Abound Wins Gold for AI-Driven Energy Savings in Banking

Carrier Abound has received the Gold award in the ‘Digital Transformation in Energy’ category at the 2026 Greentech Energy Management Excellence Awards. The recognition follows a rigorous evaluation process that assessed the impact and transformation delivered by Carrier Abound for one of India’s largest private-sector banks. Carrier Abound is part of Carrier Global Corporation (NYSE: CARR), a global leader in intelligent climate and energy solutions.

The award recognises the successful deployment of the Abound Insights Artificial Intelligence (AI) platform across 600 branches of the bank over a six-year period. The implementation delivered measurable outcomes, including:

More than 19,000 MWh in cumulative energy savings
Cost savings of INR 23.4 crore (approximately USD 2.4 million)
Avoidance of more than 16,000 metric tonnes of cumulative CO₂ emissions

“Our work with one of India’s leading private sector banks demonstrates how AI-powered digital solutions can unlock significant value at scale,” said Niraj Desai, Managing Director, Carrier Abound India. “This recognition reinforces the growing importance of data-driven operations in delivering measurable business outcomes across banks’ distributed infrastructure. It also supports banks in meeting disclosures by providing insights into energy consumption and associated emissions from branch operations.”

The latest recognition highlights Carrier Abound’s continued focus on providing scalable, technology-driven solutions that help organisations lower energy intensity, enhance operational performance and advance their sustainability goals.
