SJVN Green Energy Invites Bids For 401 MW Solar Projects

SJVN Green Energy (SGEL), a wholly owned subsidiary of SJVN, has invited bids for the balance of systems (BoS) and land package to develop 401 MW of solar projects in Maharashtra under the Mukhya Mantri Saur Krushi Vahini (MSKVY) 2.0 programme, Component C.
The last date for submission is 9 September 2025, with bids to be opened the same day. Bidders must deposit an earnest money of Rs 0.582 million per MW and pay a bid document fee of Rs 5,000 plus 18 per cent GST.
SGEL has already secured 1,352 MW capacity of solar projects under the MSKVY 2.0 programme, and the current 401 MW package is part of the larger 1.3 GW allocation.
The scope of work includes land identification, ownership transfer or sub-lease, development, construction, and provision of buildings, plant, machinery, switchgear, transformers, protection equipment and ancillary systems. It also covers operation and maintenance for three years, and the creation of power evacuation infrastructure up to the interconnection point.
Eligibility requires bidders to have commissioned at least 30 MW of grid-connected solar projects, with one project of at least 10 MW operational for three months. Developers or EPC contractors with experience in single industrial projects worth Rs 8.8 million per MW in sectors such as power, steel, oil and gas, petrochemicals, fertilisers, cement or coal mining are also eligible, provided the projects have been operational for at least six months.
Additionally, bidders must have executed at least one 33 kV electrical substation including power transformers and circuit breakers, operational for six months. Financially, bidders must show a minimum average turnover of Rs 8.8 million per MW over the past three years and maintain a positive net worth in at least two of them.
In a parallel development, in August 2025, Maharashtra State Electricity Board Solar Agro Power, a subsidiary of MSEB Holding Company, invited bids for 3.43 GW of solar capacity across 509 projects under the same scheme.
