Tata Power announces Deepesh Nanda as President Renewable and CEO & MD

Tata Power announced that Deepesh Nanda had been appointed as the President-Renewables and CEO & MD of its subsidiary, Tata Power Renewable Energy (TPREL). The company stated that his appointment would be effective from November 1, 2023.

In a statement, Tata Power mentioned that Nanda would be responsible for driving the growth and profitability of Tata Power's renewable energy portfolio, which includes solar, wind, hybrid, and B2C green energy solutions. He would also lead innovation and digital transformation initiatives in the renewable energy sector.

It was noted that Nanda brought with him 28 years of extensive experience from his roles at companies like GE, Flowserve, and Tyco. He had previously worked at GE Gas Power, where he held the position of Chief Executive Officer for South Asia, overseeing operations in India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Mauritius, and Nepal. Additionally, he served as the President & CEO of GE's Aero-derivative Gas Turbine business segment for Asia.

Tata Power further mentioned that Nanda's role would be instrumental in shaping the future of their renewable energy initiatives.
