BHEL has bagged an order from Karnataka Power Corporation Ltd (KPCL) to supply the country's first super critical 700-MW coal fire unit for its thermal power station at Bellary.

BHEL has bagged an order from Visa Power Ltd for supply and installation of a 2x600-MW thermal power plant in Raigarh in Chhattisgarh .

Valecha Engineering Ltd has bagged a contract for two-laning of the Lalpul-Manmao-Changlang highway from 0.00 km to 68.30 km at Arunachal Pradesh.

Spanco Ltd has received an LOI from Bihar State Electricity Board, for implementation of IT infrastructure for the company. The project includes improvement of power supply reliability at distribution level and achieving commercial viability of the state electricity departments.

Great Offshore has bagged a contract from Gujarat State Petroleum Corp (GSPC) for deployment of its 2007 built state-of-the-art Anchor Handling Tug Supply Vessel (AHTSV) Malaviya Twenty Three in the KG basin at East coast of India.

Siemens has bagged an order from Jaypee Sports International for providing equipment for the Formula1 race track at Noida. Siemens will supply, install, design, engineer and commission special electronics package, including setting up of race control management system, video surveillance of racetrack and video storage.

Volvo Buses India Pvt Ltd (VBIPL) has bagged its single largest order of 100 multiaxle buses from Hubli-based VRL Logistics Ltd. Presently, VRL is the largest operator of commercial vehicles in India with a fleet of 2,800 vehicles. It has 250 buses in its fleet.

The construction division of L&T has bagged an order from Abu Dhabi for construction of Sheikh Khalifa Interchange. The scope of work includes construction of four bridges to be completed in a time span of two years.

Larsen & Toubro Ltd has bagged an order from Hindalco for carrying out the structural steel works for 6X150 MW captive power plant in Orissa.

The Shipping Corporation of India has given contracts for 31 vessels which will be delivered before 2014. The company will also order 15 more vessels by the end of this financial year to boost its fleet strength.

Theiss, a subsidiary of Leighton Holdings, has won a 22-year coal mining contract for the development of Pakri Barwadhi mine from NTPC.
