Blox is India’s first end-to-end homebuying platform and has recently received a boost of support from Aaditya Thackeray, Cabinet Minister of Environment, Tourism and Protocol, Government of Maharashtra, at a town hall session at the Blox HeadQuarters. Blox is a platform that provides instant site visit bookings and has a dedicated relationship manager to assist with virtual and physical site visits across the city. The platform is transparent and convenient, and is an integrated end-to-end home buying experience with a verified inventory listed directly from multiple real estate developers. In the seven months since commencing business, Blox has already listed over 300 developers on its platform and actively services around 500 projects in Mumbai and Thane. Thackeray, who attended the event, has showed his immense support for the growth and development of Blox and the digitisation of the real estate sector. He says, “In today’s world of home delivery, where almost everything reaches you directly, why not bring the process of buying your new home to your phone?” He, along with Aditya Jhaveri, Founder and CEO, Blox, have expressed their views on how digitisation and technology have the potential to redefine and transform the real estate sector into one that would transcend imagination and help thousands of home buyers find their dream homes. Thackeray adds, “One of the biggest issues for Maharashtra is housing. Giving access to homes for all has been a challenge along with buyers finding their dream home. To support the real estate industry and the revival of the economy post covid, the Government of Maharashtra has also reduced the stamp duty for registration of residential houses, waived off property tax for homes of less than 500 sq ft size and BMC has reduced premiums on housing projects in the past one year. All efforts are being made to make housing a reality for all in the state, especially in a city like Mumbai.”
