RIB Software hosted the RIB Unite Digital Construction Leadership Summit on 23 January at JW Marriott, Mumbai, bringing together RIB CostX customers and industry stakeholders to discuss digital transformation, cost management, and technology-enabled project delivery within the Indian construction ecosystem. The closed-door summit began with an overview of RIB’s global footprint, positioning the company as a construction technology provider offering end-to-end solutions across the project lifecycle—from planning and design to construction, operations, and asset maintenance. Speakers highlighted persistent industry challenges such as cost overruns, schedule delays, low margins, limited collaboration, and low levels of digitisation, while underscoring the growing need for connected systems that improve visibility, traceability, and decision-making.Tracy Woodland, Marketing Director, International Region, RIB Software, shared an outlook on India’s construction market, highlighting strong growth across key sectors and a clear need to bridge the gap between scale and system maturity. Tony Shaw, Product Solutions Director, outlined RIB CostX’s core capabilities and upcoming enhancements, while Andrew Hill, International Region Customer Success Excellence Director, spoke about RIB’s focus on proactive customer engagement, training, and value realisation. Ravi Kumar, Regional Sales Director – India, RIB Software moderated the event. Product-focused sessions demonstrated RIB CostX’s capabilities in 2D and 3D take-off, spreadsheet-based estimating, live-linked quantities, revision management, and reporting, along with a preview of upcoming enhancements. The platform’s flexibility to adapt to regional measurement standards, coding structures, and client-specific breakdowns was positioned as a key advantage for consultants, contractors, and owners.Speaking on RIB’s long-term commitment to India, Chris Smith, Senior Vice President, Middle East & Africa and APAC, RIB Software, said, “RIB is investing heavily in the Indian market—not just from a business perspective, but in product and R&D development resources. We have a large office in Nashik, we are moving more development resources into India, and we are strengthening our commercial and marketing teams. This investment supports not only India-specific needs but also our global product roadmap.”The summit concluded with an interactive panel discussion and networking session, reinforcing the importance of collaboration between technology providers and industry practitioners.
