The Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation (CCMC) has invited bids to install and maintain bulk flow metres and SCADA systems in the newly developed parts of the city. Additional 79 bulk flow metres would be purchased and installed later. The tender is open to bids from interested parties. The civic body has been implementing the 24-hour drinking water supply project through Suez Projects Private Limited in the old 60 wards. However, water is supplied to the remaining 40 wards through various schemes, including the Amrut and KVV schemes.
