Alligator Automations Opens Rs 400 Million Plant to Triple Capacity

Alligator Automations, a leader in end-of-line packaging and robotic automation, has inaugurated a new manufacturing plant in Pune with an investment of Rs 400 million. The facility is expected to triple the company’s overall production capacity and marks a major step toward its vision of building an Indian engineering organisation supplying world-class machines to global markets.

With an annual production capability of Rs 5–6 billion, the plant enables turnkey projects to be engineered, assembled, tested and dispatched from India to customers worldwide. It is positioned to reduce dependence on imported robotic systems and strengthen India’s contribution to global automation supply chains.

“This new plant is a major milestone in our journey to build an engineering company of global scale and global standards from India. We are committed to replacing imports, strengthening India’s manufacturing ecosystem, and delivering complex automation solutions that compete with the best in the world. With this expansion, we are not only enhancing our capacity but also reinforcing our belief that Indian engineering can lead on the global stage,” said Srinivas Choudhary, Founder & CEO, Alligator Automations.

The facility includes advanced fabrication lines, a powder-coating unit, automated storage systems with over 100 tons of capacity and a 100,000 sq ft assembly area. Six loading bays, five 7.5-ton cranes and a digital paperless workflow allow execution of 15–20 large projects simultaneously, including turnkey lines up to 80 metres. Integration of fabrication, coating, quality checks, stores and assembly is expected to reduce delivery timelines by around 20 per cent and improve production accuracy. The plant is also projected to increase exports by 30 per cent and create more than 400 jobs in India and 100 overseas over the next three years.

The expansion reinforces Alligator Automations’ position as India’s largest end-of-line packaging and robotic automation company and advances its mission to deliver world-class engineering from India to global markets.
