Doosan Bobcat unveils its B900 Backhoe Loader at Excon 2019

The B900 Backhoe Loader from Doosan Bobcat was unveiled by HW Park, President- Asia , LA & Oceania on 10th December, 2019, at Excon. The product was revealed amidst cheers and fanfare, as it was one of the most anticipated products from Doosan Bobcat India.

Features
B900 displays superior performance with features like: Digging depth finesse, breakout forces, component durability, comfortable operator cabin, advanced hydraulic system and best-in-class total cost of ownership. Serviceability and part availability is critical and hence Doosan Bobcat India has developed a comprehensive plan to support customers through their extensive 28 channel partners. The company also has developed a product support program called ‘Bobcare’ which provides peace of mind to the customers. This is also backed by a toll-free number so that the customers’ problem can be registered and solved in quickly.

Key specifications:
  1. 7840 kg – Operating Weight
  2. 76 HP Turbocharged Engine
  3. 2 Wheel Drive Synchro Shuttle Transmission
  4. 121 Lpm Hydraulic flow with Tandem Gear Pump
  5. Side Shift Stabilizers
  6. 1.1 m3 Loader Bucket Capacity
  7. 0.26 m3 Backhoe Bucket Capacity

Best in Class Digging Depth
Bobcat B900 offers higher maximum digging depth compared to other backhoe loaders in its class. That makes B900 the best performer in its class.

Optimized Design for Fuel Efficiency & Component Durability
Fuel Efficiency:
a) B900 is powered by the popular and fuel efficient Kirloskar Engine, which helps in better fuel consumption.
b) With the optimised design of Bobcat B900, economy mode operations can be achieved with 1400 Rpm and Power Mode can be achieved with 1550 Rpm. Higher performance even at low engine rpm helps in greater fuel savings.

Durability:
a) B900 is equipped with the industry’s best and proven components for longer durability, higher performance and reduced maintenance.
b) Major structural items are reinforced to enhance life and are manufactured in house within the Bobcat Manufacturing Facility in Chennai.
c) Hydraulic Hose Distribution Box provided in the Backhoe hydraulic circuit of B900 increases the life of the hydraulic hoses, decreases leakages and reduces down time.

Best in Class Breakout Forces and Higher Performance
Breakout Forces:
B900 offers 7-10 per cent higher breakout forces. Higher breakout forces helps in increased capability for working in hard ground excavation, higher dozing and loading performance.

Higher Performance:
a) Heavy Duty Carraro Transmission and Rear Axle for higher torque and best performance with higher drawbar pull.
b) Front axle is provided with balanced cylinders for better steering performance and 16 degree oscillation for better performance at uneven terrains.
c) Higher Ground Clearance for better performance even at rough and undulated surfaces. Higher ground clearance also helps in protecting power train components from damages.
d) Best in class front wheel turning radius for higher maneuverability and best performance to work in confined areas.
e) Large cooling package and more efficient cooling fan helps in working long hours without overheating issues and helps in long life of components.

Comfortable Operator Cabin
Operator cabin is one of the major considerations in B900’s design. Spacious operator cabin with ergonomic controls and operator convenient features makes B900 a preferred choice for comfortable operation. Stylish and dynamic design of the cabin provides all round visibility for the operator from the working position. Adjustable suspension seat is provided as a standard feature for enhanced operator comfort and large side view mirrors and additional rear view mirror improves rear visibility for more convenient and safe operation. The large storage box and various storage compartments in the front and side panels are provided for ideal storage.  For the operator’s comfort, a standard mp3 music player and cabin fan have been provided.

Advanced Hydraulics System
B900 Hydraulics is equipped with Parker Tandem Gear Pump with an advanced hydraulic system that automatically redirects the hydraulic flow to the tank when hydraulic functions are in neutral mode. When there is a higher hydraulic pressure requirement, flow from the second pump is redirected to tank to reduce the load on engine. These advanced hydraulic features will reduce power consumption from engine to ensure high fuel efficiency.

Total Cost of Ownership
Highly durable engine, hydraulics and power-train components give the loader a longer life span; and lower fuel consumption and increased service intervals for periodic maintenance results in low cost of ownership.
