BKT unveils advanced mobility solutions at EXCON

‘Bharat Ka Tire’ – BKT, a vertical of Balkrishna Industries Ltd. (BKT), the Indian multinational company, and a global player in the off-highway tyre market, unveiled advanced All-Steel Radial tyres at the EXCON.

Elaborating on the ‘Bharat Ka Tire’ campaign Rajiv Poddar, Joint Managing Director, Balkrishna Industries said, “For us at BKT, ‘Bharat Ka Tire’, is not just in campaign name but in essence - a commitment that defines our brand as truly built-in Bharat and dedicated to the monumental task of building our nation – Bharat.” Poddar further adds, “Participating at the EXCON is always a huge moment for us, as we proudly display our advanced mobility solutions that can further infuse the construction, industrial, mining, and earthmoving sectors of Bharat.”

Commenting on the EXCON participation, Ashok Chhajer, Sr. General Manager, OE Sales, Balkrishna Industries, said, “As expected, we witnessed huge footfalls from every walk of life of this industry at the expo, resulting in insightful interactions that led to mutually gainful business propositions.”

The Off-highway tyre major showcased some of its finest tires for construction, industrial, and earthmoving equipment namely the EARTHMAX SR468 and EARTHMAX SR53. Along with the newly introduced rubber tracks Multiforce BK T91 for the compact track loaders. BKT’s booth at the EXCON demonstrated ‘Bharat Ka Tire Building Bharat’ world-class, cutting-edge masterpiece tires. The trade fair provided an excellent opportunity to connect and interact with the industry.

The star highlight of the event was the Giant EARTHMAX SR 468, the advanced All-Steel radial tire specially designed for rigid haul trucks. Its unique tread design with special tread compounds makes it perfect for hard, rocky, and tough mining conditions. Its tread lug blocks with circumferential grooves and intertwined blocks ensure effective heat dissipation. EARTHMAX SR 468 is developed using BKT's cutting-edge technology to carry heavy loads, deliver longer service life, and provide resistance to rock cuts and punctures. Additionally, the sturdy square shoulder assists in ejecting loose stones to protect the tire from damage.

Another tyre from the EARTHMAX family on the display was EARTHMAX SR 53, an All-Steel radial tire specially designed for ultra-large loaders, operating in severe conditions. The classified deep L-5 tread consists of a cut-resistant compound. In addition, the tyre is designed to offer extraordinary abrasion-resistant properties while in loading operation.

The newly introduced industrial rubber track series Multiforce BK T91, for compact track loaders (CTL) employed in material handling applications was also showcased at the EXCON 2023. The tread of Multiforce BK T91 is made of a high-performance compound that ensures maximum resistance against cuts, tears, and abrasion, making it suitable for a variety of surfaces on and off the road such as clay, mud, asphalt, gravel, and sand. It also provides optimal flotation on hills or slopes. Multiforce BK T91 features a C-shaped tread pattern that provides superior handling and excellent traction on all terrains. Additionally, a dual forged metal core for strength and excellent durability. More so, the endless belting design of high-tensile steel cords ensures better dimensional stability and excellent performance in extreme conditions.
