First solar-based charging station set up by Magenta

Magenta Power has set up India's first solar-based charging station for electric vehicles. Called Magenta Charging Station-3, it will cater to four-wheelers. The grid-connected charging station will be powered by solar, which in turn makes the entire ecosystem totally free of fossil fuel; it reduces the carbon emissions to zero. According to the company, it is also India's first solar-based EV charging station. Magenta plans to set up 100 EV charging stations by the end of 2018.
