CESL, Marriott International sign MoU to develop EV charging units

Convergence Energy Services Limited (CESL) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Marriott International for developing electric vehicle (EV) charging units and infrastructure.

Aiming to boost EV charging infrastructure across the country, CESL has signed MoU with Marriott International for constructing and operating EV charging infrastructure in the hotels managed, licensed and franchised by Marriott International in India.

CESL in-partnership with Marriott International will be entrusted with planning and implementation of the project with the cost and performance of all tasks required for the procurement, installation and operation and maintenance (O&M) of the EV charging units.

Within the next couple of months, CESL will be setting up EV charging units in 37 Marriott International hotels and further to 100 hotels in one year.

Marriott International Inc is a USA-based hotels company, with a portfolio of around 7,900 properties, under 30 leading brands across 138 countries and territories.

CESL is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL), which focuses on delivering affordable, clean and reliable energy.
