HSVP To Develop Residential Sectors In Gurugram And Faridabad

Haryana Shehri Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP) has announced plans to develop new residential sectors in Gurugram and Faridabad, aiming to expand planned housing supply in the National Capital Region. The authority proposed a coordinated approach that will combine residential plots, affordable housing blocks and supporting civic infrastructure. The move is intended to address rising demand for organised housing and to guide urban expansion. The planning will follow statutory procedures and seek to balance density with liveability.

Plans envisage provision of mixed housing typologies suited to different income groups and emphasise walkable neighbourhood design and green open spaces. The authority indicated that roads, water supply, sewerage and stormwater management will be integrated into sector plans to ensure immediate habitability. Provisions for local commercial clusters and community amenities are expected to support daily needs within walking distance. Environmental considerations and sustainable water use are expected to inform design choices across sectors.

Land parcels identified for the schemes will be processed through the authority's established allotment and approval mechanisms, with a focus on transparent bidding and adherence to urban development norms. Coordination with municipal bodies and state agencies is planned to streamline clearances and utility linkages. The authority signalled phased rollouts to permit infrastructure delivery alongside incremental occupancy. The authority will also monitor compliance through periodic audits and stakeholder feedback channels.

Officials expect the developments to improve housing availability and to relieve pressure on informal settlements while enhancing connectivity between existing city cores and new sectors. The projects are also intended to catalyse private investment in construction and related services, and to create employment during the development phase. The authority said it will publish detailed sector plans and timelines to enable public scrutiny and stakeholder engagement. Community consultations are planned to fine tune amenity provision and to address local concerns before final approvals.
