Panasonic Launches 57 Smart AC Models; Targets 2 Million Units by FY28

Panasonic Life Solutions India (PLSIND) has unveiled its 2026 residential air-conditioner portfolio, comprising 57 new models, and outlined plans to scale annual AC volumes to approximately 2 million units by FY28.
The new range is engineered for India’s extreme climatic conditions and introduces Panasonic’s DustBuster Technology, an auto reverse-flow fan mechanism designed to expel dust from the outdoor unit, supporting consistent cooling performance and long-term durability.
The 2026 line-up spans inverter and fixed-speed models, smart and hot-and-cold variants, and high-capacity solutions across 5-star, 4-star and 3-star categories. Prices start at Rs 32,490.
Hirokazu Kamoda, Managing Director, Panasonic HVAC & CC India, said the portfolio aims to address rising urbanisation and harsher weather patterns with resilient, energy-efficient cooling solutions. Abhishek Verma, Head – Product Marketing & Planning, added that the expanded portfolio strengthens the company’s Make in India focus and penetration across metro, tier 2 and tier 3 markets.
Key features include MirAIe IoT-enabled connectivity with Matter support, nanoe active air purification, Converti8 adjustable cooling, AI-driven adaptive thermal comfort, and stabiliser-free operation. The ACs are designed to operate in ambient temperatures up to 55°C and deliver full cooling capacity at 48°C under test conditions.
The launch is being supported by a TVC campaign featuring brand ambassador MS Dhoni.
