Reliance Industries (RIL) unveiled the 750,000 square feet retail mall, Jio World Plaza, in Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC). Inspired by the lotus flower, the plaza has marble floors and vaulted ceilings. This is the second high-end shopping destination at BKC by Reliance after Jio World Drive, which was unveiled two years ago. The mall is expected to be benchmarked with the best luxury shopping malls in the world. At present, India has four luxury-exclusive malls— DLF Emporio and The Chanakya in New Delhi; UB City in Bengaluru and Phoenix Palladium in Mumbai. The Jio World Plaza is positioned as a “unique retail experience” with 66 luxury brands, some of whom will mark their presence for the first time in India.
