Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma handed over land deeds to nearly 21,000 beneficiary families from the Vimukta, nomadic, and semi-nomadic communities on Wednesday. During the 'Swachh Bharat Mission Rural and Residential Deed Distribution Programme' held at the State Agricultural Management Institute in Durgapura, Sharma addressed the attendees. Earlier that day, he visited a Khadi exhibition at the Rajasthan Khadi and Village Industries Board, where he garlanded the statue of Mahatma Gandhi to commemorate his birth anniversary. Emphasizing the importance of indigenous fabric, he remarked that Khadi represents the identity of the country and is environmentally friendly. He encouraged people to take full advantage of the 50 per cent discount on Khadi products to benefit the spinners and weavers in the state. The chief minister also purchased Khadi products, making payment through UPI. At the management institute, Sharma distributed residential plot deeds to families from nomadic, semi-nomadic, and Vimukta communities while interacting with some of the beneficiaries. He noted that these communities are an integral part of Rajasthan's culture and have played a significant role in the country’s freedom struggle. He mentioned that the nearly nine-month tenure of the state government has been dedicated to all sections of society, including farmers, labourers, youth, and women. He stated that they are on track to fulfill about 50 per cent of the promises made in the Sankalp Patra during this short period. Sharma highlighted several government decisions, such as increasing the Samman Nidhi for farmers, the minimum support price (MSP) of wheat, providing LPG cylinders at Rs 450 to needy families, reducing petrol and diesel rates, increasing the honorarium for Anganwadi and panchayat workers, and initiating the implementation of the ERCP scheme, as symbols of the government's vision. The chief minister expressed the government’s commitment to making the state self-reliant in energy and ensuring adequate electricity supply to farmers during the day by 2027. He also mentioned that currently, about 60,000 posts of grade IV employees are vacant in various state government departments, which the previous government had neglected.
