Rajasthan government finalises rates for issuing lease deeds

The Rajasthan government has decided the rates for issuing lease deeds during the Prashasan Shehron Ke Sang Abhiyan 2021.

To acquire the lease deeds of plots located in old inhabited areas, the residents have to pay between Rs 10 and Rs 50.

Likewise, the plots produced on the land of erstwhile royal families will be regularised after paying a fee between Rs 50 and Rs 150.

An official told the media that regulation rates have been set for the people living in the Walled City areas before 2nd October 1959. Residential and mixed lease deeds will be given to plot owners at Rs 501. Commercial, institutional and hotel land will be regularised for Rs 10 per sq m. Building owners coming under the category will have to pay a minimum of Rs 5,000 for obtaining a lease.

The rates to issue lease deeds to people living in plots outside the Walled City area before October 2, 1959, have also been finalised. Under this category, institutional, residential, and mixed land use lease deeds will be given to original allottees at the rate of Rs 10 per sq m. The total fee total for issuing a lease will be Rs 5,000. The other stakeholder will obtain lease deeds after paying Rs 20 per sq m instead of the original allottee. The total fee for giving a lease will be Rs 10,000.

The government has also fixed a price cap for the lease. For issuing the lease deeds on residential, institutional and mixed land plots, the local body can charge a maximum of Rs 5 lakh. Similarly, the maximum price for releasing a commercial lease deed is Rs 10 lakh.
